Older mods (pre-GOTY edition) often have compatibility issues, and even later mods can kick up a fuss unless you have the Community Patch, which makes all editions of the game (assuming you own the DLC) equal. Going into more details, this HD Texture Pack features 4K upscaled textures for main characters and monsters, as well as 2K upscaled textures for citizens, villagers, guards, knights and animals. According to the modder, this pack has clearer and more realistic textures thanks to artificial intelligence. Following the release of the AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack for the first The Witcher game, modder ‘hub997’ released a similar mod for the second part in the Witcher series.
